Brief History
Hi!
I am Nithyanandh. I hail from Boodhimadaipudur, a small village
near Gobichettypalayam in Tamilnadu, South India. I am proud to be born
in a joint family of animal lovers. My forefathers were agriculturists
and animal lovers. My father, late Parameswaramurthy completed B.Sc.
Agriculture from Annamalai University, is an avid dog lover. He was
the hockey captain of the University. He nurtured me in sports and games
in my early days. I was a junior state cricket player for Tamilnadu
in the 15 – 22 age group for eight years.
My
mother Smt. V. Muthulakshmi, retired Head of the Zoology Department,
Vellalar College for Women in Erode, has a vast knowledge about birds
and animals. This is where from I learnt my basics right. And ergo,
it’s quite natural that I evinced love for pets. Studious thought further
propelled me to widen my horizon on the behavioural pattern of animals.
Let me tell you : I was also breeding fantail and longtail cocks, turkeys, swans, rabbits, pigeons and fishes in my farmhouse in Gobichettypalayam.
Back to German Shepherds… I love German Shepherds ‘cause they are alert, intelligent, obedient, loyal and courageous. They are known for their working ability, protective instinct and social behaviour. German Shepherds were on duty at my home even before my birth! The German Shepherd progeny, grandson of Kimon which I acquired in 1994 from Goldwin Kennels Coimbatore, owned by Shri C. Ramasamy fuelled my passion to throw my hat into the show ring.
My Mentor
The
turning point in my life came when I met a gentleman named Shri A. Guruprasad,
an alumnus of Loyola College in Chennai - a prominent businessman-sports
enthusiast-animal lover, all rolled into one. His first German Shepherd
came in 1977; and his first German import was Yasso Von Der Urbecke
in 1994. Through that he has bred several top dogs in India. His South
African Seigers- Ferro vom messbau and Athos von der forstkammer, brought
him laurels in 2004 and 2006 respectively. His dog Ferro Vom Messbau
achieved V-65 in German Seiger Show. He has travelled far and wide across
the globe and gathered experience and knowledge about the breed. Shri
Guruprasad is also the only Indian to visit German Seiger show every
time since 1996 till date.
A Beacon Of Hope
I
owe my success to Shri Guruprasad for being my friend, philosopher and
guide. Being a beacon of hope I enjoy every bit of my relationship with
him. He taught me the right techniques in breeding dogs and he is my
mentor in this game. He has since become a part of my extended family.
Being Recognized
Of all my imports from Germany Eros von der Forst Kammer ( line bred Jeck Noricum) gave me an identity and recognition in my country. Now I have several imports from Germany from top producing bloodlines. Our objective is to breed German Shepherd dogs of show quality with working ability.
My
Kennel is in Udagamandalam (Ooty) taken care by a professional kennel
manager Mr. Selvaraj who puts his heart and soul in his job.
This sport has earned me numerous good friends within and outside India. My wish is to be the one among the top breeders of German Sheperds and gain many more friends….
I also take this opportunity to thank my mother, Krishnaswamy periyappa, Rajam periyamma, buddy Jaffer Ashiq Ali and others for their undaunted support and encouragement.
Above
all, I personally thank my brother Dr. Pradeep Parameshwar for
his support, love and affection, all these years and in the years to
come…
Thank you!
